Nonprofit CRM Pricing: Who Publishes a Number, and Where Google Gets the Rest
Quick answer
Most of the biggest nonprofit CRMs publish no price. Google states one anyway. Bonterra, Blackbaud, Virtuous and DonorPerfect publish no figure on the pages checked here. Google's numbers trace to a competitor, procurement services, industry estimates or a different product. Below are the sources, the dates checked and the six vendors that do publish a number.

The four numbers Google gives you
These are reports about prices, not published vendor prices. The Google overviews and vendor pages described below were checked on 5 November 2026.
Bonterra EveryAction
Google's AI Overview says costs "typically start around $4,000 per year or roughly $109 to $350+ per month". Source: Google AI Overview for EveryAction pricing, read 5 November 2026. Those figures do not reconcile: $109 a month is $1,308 a year, not $4,000. That is arithmetic on Google's reported figures, not a Bonterra price.
Bonterra publishes nothing. Both bonterratech.com/pricing and bonterratech.com/pricing/fundraising-and-engagement contain zero dollar figures, checked 5 November 2026.
The $4,000 traces to one unsourced sentence on solidarity.tech/alternative-to/bonterra, a competitor that sells against EveryAction. Solidarity Tech states its own price precisely at $39 a month on that same page, read 5 November 2026. Its statement about EveryAction is not Bonterra's price. Our EveryAction alternatives breakdown separates the subscription from the other costs of leaving.
Blackbaud Raiser's Edge NXT
Google's AI Overview opens by saying Blackbaud "does not publish public list pricing" for Raiser's Edge NXT, then gives "$4,000 to $15,000 per year" for small organizations and "$20,000 to $50,000 per year" for mid-sized organizations. Source: Google AI Overview for Raiser's Edge NXT pricing, read 5 November 2026. These are third-party estimates, not Blackbaud prices.
The overview cites Vendr, a SaaS procurement company that sells negotiation services, and getalignment.org. The absence of a vendor price was checked directly: blackbaud.com/pricing contains zero dollar figures and offers only Request a Demo, checked 5 November 2026. If you are deciding which Blackbaud product to replace rather than just what to budget, our Blackbaud alternatives guide keeps those product distinctions separate.
Virtuous
Google's AI Overview states "Virtuous CRM pricing starts at $199 per month". Source: Google AI Overview for Virtuous CRM pricing, read 5 November 2026.
virtuous.org/pricing publishes no figure. It reads "Flexible pricing tailored to your needs" with Request Pricing and Request a Demo buttons, checked 5 November 2026.
The same overview later calls the $199, $449 and $849+ figures "published industry estimates", contradicting its own opening sentence. Source: the same Google AI Overview, read 5 November 2026. An industry estimate is not a published Virtuous price.
DonorPerfect
Around $119 a month is widely repeated in comparison results. Source: Google results for DonorPerfect pricing, read 5 November 2026. It is a third-party report, not a published DonorPerfect rate. donorperfect.com/pricing/ contains zero dollar figures and offers only Get pricing, checked 5 November 2026.
The $119 is Bloomerang Volunteer's entry price. Bloomerang's own pricing page reads "Bloomerang Volunteer... Starting at: $119/month, billed annually", checked 5 November 2026. A different product from a different vendor.
Who does publish
All figures below were read at each vendor's own pricing page on 5 November 2026. The basis column matters because these are not like-for-like.
| Vendor | Published figure | What it is based on |
|---|---|---|
| Little Green Light | $45 a month, up to 2,500 constituents | Constituent record count. Full table: 5,000 $60, 10,000 $75, 20,000 $90, 30,000 $105, 40,000 $120, 50,000 $135. Above 50,000, add $15 a month per extra 10,000. Annual billing saves 10%. Unlimited users and all features in every account. |
| Givebutter | Free CRM. Plus from $29 a month billed annually, or $33.80 monthly | Contact count, 250 contacts or less at the entry tier. Higher contact tiers at $79 and $129 a month billed annually. |
| Neon CRM | $99 a month | Priced on your revenue rather than your record count. |
| Bloomerang | $125 a month billed annually for Bloomerang CRM | Annual billing. Bloomerang Volunteer $119 and Bloomerang Fundraising $40, the latter only as a bundle with Bloomerang CRM. |
| Keela | $164 a month billed annually, $190 monthly, up to 1,000 contacts | Contact count. 1,001 to 2,500 is $243, 2,501 to 5,000 is $316. Above 10,000 contacts is custom. |
| Salesforce Nonprofit Cloud | $70 per user per month billed annually for Sales & Service Core | Sales & Service Advanced $125, Sales Max and Service Max $285. All USD per user per month billed annually. |

These prices are not comparable to each other: some are annual-billing rates and some monthly, and what is being counted differs by vendor, from constituents to contacts to revenue to users. Keep the product, tier and billing basis attached to the number before you compare it with a quote.
Why this happens
Quote-only pricing is normal in enterprise software and does not mean a tool is expensive. A vendor may need to know the organization's size, the capabilities it needs and the terms of the agreement before naming a price.
The problem is not vendors declining to publish. It is that the gap gets filled by whoever benefits from filling it. A competitor can give readers a number to react against. A procurement service can give them an estimate to negotiate against. A search overview can turn either into an opening sentence that sounds like the vendor's own rate.
The source is part of the claim, not an optional extra. "A competitor says it costs this" and "the vendor publishes this" are different statements, even when the same figure appears in both.
What to do instead
Ask the vendor for a written quote using your actual file, team and required capabilities. Name the product you want rather than only the company: a fundraising suite, a volunteer product and a donor CRM are not interchangeable purchases.
Ask for these terms alongside the subscription:
- Which capabilities are included, and which are add-ons?
- What counts toward the contact or record ceiling, and what happens when you cross it?
- Is the figure based on monthly or annual billing, and what commitment does it require?
- What is charged separately for onboarding, migration and training?
- What happens to the price at renewal?
- What would the same scope cost without the optional modules?
Then sanity check the quote against the published vendors above using the same file, team and billing term. Do not rank their headline figures as though a constituent, a contact, organizational revenue and a paid user are the same unit. Check whether the quoted product includes the capabilities your team actually needs, not just whether its starting figure looks lower.
There is a separate question after the price: what will the system tell you once your records are in it? Our guide to the donor score already inside your CRM sets out which inputs each score uses and which part of a relationship sits outside that score.
The rule
A figure you cannot find on the vendor's own site is a figure to set aside. Ask for a quote rather than turning an unattributed estimate into a budget commitment.
Where Gratefully fits
Gratefully is a donor intelligence platform, not a CRM, and it does not replace the system of record you choose. Grace works across donor records, notes and documents with sources attached, so your team can check the context behind an answer. Before buying another layer, test what you can already verify in your own donor file.
Start with the donor relationship health audit.

Frequently asked questions
What evidence should accompany a nonprofit CRM price in a budget?
Keep the vendor's pricing page or written quote, the date checked, the product and tier, the billing term, and the quantity being counted. A figure from a Google AI Overview is a report about a price, not a vendor commitment.
Can an AI Overview contradict itself about a CRM subscription?
Yes. The Virtuous overview checked on 5 November 2026 says pricing starts at $199 per month, then describes the figures as published industry estimates. Virtuous's own pricing page publishes no figure. The opening sentence and the later qualification are not the same claim.
How should a team compare a revenue-based CRM quote with a per-user subscription?
Use the same team, file and billing term for both quotes, but keep each vendor's counting basis visible. Neon CRM prices on revenue; Salesforce Nonprofit Cloud prices per user. A headline monthly figure alone does not tell you what either subscription will cost your organization.
What should be written down before accepting a quote-only CRM renewal?
Ask for the included capabilities, any add-ons, the contact or record ceiling, onboarding and training charges, the commitment term, and how renewal pricing is determined. Keep those terms with the quote rather than comparing the subscription figure alone.
