About Gratefully

We built Grace because donor relationships shouldn't be lost

Nonprofits lose nearly half their donors every year. Fundraising staff move on every 16 months. And every time someone leaves, years of hard-won donor relationships leave with them. Gratefully keeps that knowledge where it belongs: with your organization.

    Our Story

Spend any time around a nonprofit development team and you feel the same quiet tension everywhere. They are asked to grow the donor base and deepen the relationships they already have, with less time and fewer people than the work demands.

And the knowledge that makes those relationships possible, who gave, why they care, what was promised, what to say next, rarely lives in one place. It is scattered across CRMs, spreadsheets, inboxes, board minutes, and people's heads. So when a fundraiser moves on, and on average that happens every 16 months, the organization does not just lose a person. It loses years of institutional memory.

We did not think that was acceptable. The relationships a nonprofit spends decades building should never depend on who still works there.

    What Grace Does

Grace is an AI agent that reads your organization's full institutional memory, your CRM records, gifts and pledges, staff notes, emails, documents, and event history, and turns it into relationship intelligence your team can act on every day.

She works while you sleep. Every night Grace goes through your entire donor portfolio and hands your team a ranked list the next morning: who needs attention today, and why. Your people sit down to a prioritized plan instead of a blank page.

And she watches the whole relationship, not just the dollars. A major donor who has gone quiet, an ask that stalled in cultivation, a pledge slipping toward arrears, a giving anniversary worth honoring. Every flag comes with the reason behind it, the note, the history, the moment it changed, so a score becomes something your team can actually act on.

Ask Grace anything about a donor and get the full picture in seconds. Walk into every meeting prepared. See who is quietly slipping away before they are gone. Draft outreach that sounds like your organization, because Grace learns your voice. And when someone moves on, Grace hands the next person a complete picture of every relationship, so nothing has to start over.

Grace is built for nonprofits, not adapted for them. The numbers she gives you are calculated and verifiable, never guessed, because a wrong figure about a major donor is worse than no answer at all. And she keeps a human in the loop at every step, because the relationships are yours, not ours.

    The People Behind Grace

A team that has lived on both sides of this problem, the technology and the mission.

    MJ

    Muddsar Jamil

    Founder

Muddsar spent twenty years building software in Silicon Valley, at Adobe, Workday, and SugarCRM, and nearly as long volunteering with nonprofits across the Bay Area. For years those were two separate lives. Gratefully is what happened when he stopped keeping them apart.

He watched the nonprofit world get left behind as AI transformed every other industry, and he knew the teams he had volunteered alongside deserved better than spreadsheets and guesswork. So he built Grace: the tool he wished those teams had all along.

    What We Believe

Our values guide every feature we build and every decision we make.

    Mission-Driven

We measure ourselves by the funds you raise and the relationships you keep, not the features we ship.

    Relationship-Centered

Fundraising is human work. Our job is to hand you back the time to do it.

    Purpose-Built

Built for nonprofits from the ground up, not a generic tool wearing a nonprofit label.

    Explainable by Default

Every signal, score, and number comes with its reasoning attached. AI you can trust with donor data means showing the why, not just the answer.

    Human in Charge

Grace surfaces and drafts. Your team decides. Nothing goes out the door without a person behind it.

Grace exists so the next person who picks up a donor relationship someone else built actually knows what it needs.

If that is the kind of organization you are building, we would love to show you what becomes possible.
